Cheryl1312025-04-22Verified Luxury in the desert Beautiful accomodations in the desert. The rooms have lots of character, colorful, comfortable and luxurious. The stay in the tent was so comfortable with air conditioning and lovely facilities. Sunset camel ride is a treasured memory. Luke M2025-04-11Verified Lovely hotel right on the edge of the dunes Beautiful hotel right on the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes outside of Mersouga. Highly-decorated (although not actually old), clean and classy, Yasmina is a great choice of base from which to explore the dunes. There is a large (albeit cold) swimming pool, a good quality buffet restaurant for breakfast and diner (with adequate vegetarian and vegan choices), and a pretty deck overlooking the dunes. There's even a little coffee shop. Camel rides and 4x4 drives over the dunes can be arranged at the front desk. Wifi is adequate in the common areas, but non-existent in the rooms. The rooms themselves are large and comfortable, and nicely decorated in brights. The beds are comfortable, the shower hot and strong (when the hot finally comes through), although the soap is a bit strange and hard and impossible to lather. There is no kettle in the room, which might have been nice, but that's a minor quibble. It's a bit of a trek on dirt roads to get there, but once there, you won't want to leave. The hotel’s comfortable accommodations and authentic Moroccan decor create a welcoming atmosphere for travelers. Guests enjoy stunning views of the Sahara and can indulge in delicious local cuisine at the on-site restaurant. The friendly and attentive staff enhance the experience, ensuring that every need is met. With opportunities for camel treks and guided tours, Yasmina Hotel is the perfect base for exploring the magic of the desert. Emmadiam0nd2024-03-20Verified Stay guarded from the touts when on the dunes Stayed two nights. Fairly empty hotel. Make sure that you enjoy the view off of the restaurant terrace. Overall good, but the hotel loses a star rating for the biggest CON, below. Pro's: - location on dunes was exceptional - massive spacious clean room - restaurant made me french fries upon request at lunch time. Large bottles of water provided at meals. - the hotel appears to take exceedingly good care of their camels - the ATV tour arranged by hotel was awesome. ATV guide was amenable to riding tandem. The ATV guide was cool and did not subject us to selling TAT, which was wonderful. Con's - 4 km very very rocky road to access hotel will take you 30 minutes to traverse unless you have a 4 x 4. This was unexpected and kept us "trapped" at the hotel rather than potentially damage rental car. Can't be avoided, it was just unexpected. - credit card machine not working required a creative solution on our part for a western union money transfer The biggest CON was during the sunrise camel trek. I was the sole participant. I felt that the setup was meant to encourage my son (who had declined) to participate as well (two camels were set up and he was encouraged to "bring me" to the location). gimme a break. But what I did not appreciate the most - was the following: the camelteer towards the end of the trek proceeded to pull out his bag of all of his tat for sale. This caught me completely off guard and was very much not appreciated. I was unhappy to succumb to this pressure tactic - partway through the excursion. Were I to do this tour over, I would stress to the hotel: DO NOT have the camelteer attempt to sell me his wares as part of this excursion. Not cool!!! Ultimately, I came to discover that the local touts will approach people on the dunes who are trying to enjoy the sunrise or sunset view - to sell their wares. A cheap ploy. Do better. J S2024-01-26Verified had hotel to myself When you arrive, its through a dirt road about 10 minutes from main road. I stayed 1 night after a desert tour and early flight to Casablanca from ERH airport. Its a very large hotel with spacious rooms with views of the desert. Quite lovely at sunset. The pool is huge tool, but not heated so didn't go in. Restaurant food was good, had turkey kebabs. I remember the fries were especially crispy and well done. Note, there's no alcohol for sale here. Its about 1 hour drive, no traffic to ERH airport. Much better option to fly than 8 hours of driving back to Marrakech. The funny thing is I was the only guest in the entire hotel. Staff was great. Guess it was low season Yvette S2023-12-31Verified Een sprookje in de woestijn Fantastisch. In de woestijn gelegen. Schitterend uitzicht op de zandheuvels. Dromedaris kuddes voor het hotel. Enorm zwembad met mooie ligbedden. Alles heel sfeervol. Enorme kamers, goede matrassen EN kussens! Diner, buffet heerlijk. angelaU8447KC2023-12-05Verified Excellent hotel within walking distance to the Sahara desert I stayed here for one night which was organised by my sahara desert tour. On first impression, the hotel was very big and it almost resembled some castle. Good location as it was literally right next to the Sahara desert and within walking distance to the dunes too. As I entered the hotel, the reception was very nice and grand. I was shown the room by a man called Yassin who helped me bring my luggage to the room. I stayed in room 19 and upon entering, it was a very nice, spacious and clean room with nice Moroccan inspired touches. The tv and wifi was working, which I was quite surprised as I didn’t think there would be good signal in the Sahara desert since it is in the middle of nowhere, but I was proved wrong. Toilets and shower was nice and everything else was working. Didn’t have any problems with the room. Outside the rooms, there was lots of passageways and pretty courtyards all connected to the main reception and restaurant, it felt like a maze. There was also an outdoor pool, I did take a quick dip in the morning, was a little cold but it was still nice and refreshing. Breakfast and dinner as included in my stay. Dinner was a mini berber pizza, harissa soup and some meat tagine which was all very nice. Breakfast was a bit simpler but still nice. Before my arrival, I heard that the desert will get cold at night. During dinner, I met some friendly people at the hotel, and we walked into the desert dunes late night to see the moon and it was not cold at all and I was only wearing a strappy dress. Even though I arrived here a day before my birthday but at least I got to wake up here and see the sunrise in the desert on my actual birthday. Overall, an excellent hotel within very easy reach to the Sahara desert. Since my tour only organised a stay of one night, I would have liked to stay an extra night if I ever have the chance to stay here again. This was probably one of the best hotels I had stayed in throughout my trip in Morocco. I highly recommend this hotel. Melanie A2023-12-02Verified Relaxing family stay at Hotel Yasmina. We stayed at Hotel Yasmina for two nights and had a great time. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast and dinner was included which made the stay easy. The staff were kind and helpful and the location is amazing - right on the dunes!
